My name is Mike. I am a Martial Arts Instructor in Luxembourg, Europe.
I started martial arts Training as a teenager, but I had to "travel" a little bit around over here to find something that fitted me.
Then, in the late 90's, I discovered Jeet Kune Do and the Filipino Martial Arts. From that day on, I concentrated on those both "schools".
I trained nearly every day and finally met, in 2000, the former Bruce Lee student, Tim Tackett, co-founder of the famous Jeet Kune Do Wednesday Night Group from Redlands, California.
Back in Luxembourg, I began teaching Jeet Kune Do to a couple of friends, which resulted in the creation of a Jeet Kune Do Backyard group, old school like.
I was ranked "Apprentice Instructor" by Tim Tackett in May 2003, and became Sifu Tackett's official representing for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
After more intense and devoted practice, I ranked "Assistant Instructor" in March 2005.
In 2005 I also decided to finally realize one of my dreams, so I entered the Luxembourg Police Academy. Two years later it was done. Since September 2007 I am a Police Officer over here in Luxembourg.
I also became ranked that year, s ince June 2007 I am certified "Associate Instructor" under Sifu Tim Tackett.
I am also a private Doce Pares Escrima student under Master Frans Stroeven, Head-Instructor of Doce Pares Escrima in Europe.
Beside Jeet Kune Do, I also enjoy the practice other martial arts like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/Grappling, a.s.o.
I was the mentor of a couple of Jeet Kune Do seminars, which were very appreciated by the participants.
