About Me
I come from Kristiansand, the southern part of Norway. Here I live with my girlfriend Carina, and our son Viljar. I've been playing guitar for allmost 20 years, studying under several guitar teachers in Norway and at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. My bands are Trail of Tears and Guardians of Time and EON. When I'm not working with music, I work as a graphic designer, in a small company called Signtec.

TRAIL OF TEARS
Trail of Tears have released 5 albums so far, and we are signed to Napalm Records. The sound of Trail is gothmetal. Last year we did a headlinertour in North America and several minitours in Europe. We also played several festivals during the summer. But the real action will take place this year! We recently completed the bands 6th studio album entitled "Bloodstained Endurance". The band, the producer, the record company and our friends all agree that this is by far the best album to date, and we are really excited about it! It is sceduled to be released in may/june, and we can't wait to get on the road to present the new material!

GUARDIANS OF TIME
Watch us arise now! Guardians of Time are back! We released 2 albums with Guardians of Time, and we have now started working on our third. We have a lot of old material laying around that haven't been recorded yet, and quite a bit of new.

EON
I formed EON for about 3 years ago. I've had a lot of trouble finding a suitable line-up and shaping the sound of the band. About a year ago we recorded our first demo, but in retrospect I now see that the sound isn't right for the music. Since all the members of EON have other bands, EON always seem to come second. That is why I have decided to put the band on hold, maybe for ever. Now that we have resurrected Guardians of Time, I really don't see how I will have time for EON. But we have decided to gather at least once a year, and maybe play a show once in a while. Who knows what the future will bring for EON?

MUSICAL INFLUENCES
I grew up listening to Kiss, Iron Maiden,Judas Priest, Ozzy, W.A.S.P., Twisted Sisters and all the classic 80's bands. But later I discovered Nevermore, Opeth, Meshuggah, InFlames, Lamb of God, Evergray, Threat Signal, etc. My favourite band for the moment is defenently Gojira. I guess my taste has developed into harder genres over the years. I'm still not a huge fan of black- and deathmetal, only in small doses. Among non metal bands Queen is my favourite. Extremely clever and complex music done in a way that even the most non-musical people can appretiate. Now that is impressive! I have also "discovered" motion picture soundtracks the last couple of years. I learned quite a bit about classical music when in school, but I never really felt that a could relate to it. I missed the power and emotion that I can only find in metal. But since I started composing orchestral pieces on my computer I started listening to scores like "Transformers", "the Gladiator", "LOTR" and "Pirates of the Carribean". And now I really love soundtrack music. It has a lot of things in common with metal: drama and power!
The music I write for my bands has a bit of everything in it. I don't think my roots from the 80's are very obvious anymore, but they will always be there. The impact that Iron Maiden had on my teenage mind can never be ignored! The future looks bright: The new Trail of Tears album is soon to be released and sounds great! Guardians of Time are back again, and I really love playing in that band! Write me a note, and I'll see you on tour somewhere...
