About Me


VICTOR GOULD, a pianist from Los Angeles, is the recipient of the Herbie Hancock Presidential Scholarship at Boston’s Berklee College of Music, where he plans to graduate with a degree in professional music in 2009. He is the recipient of a 2009 ASCAP Foundation Young Jazz Composer Award and was selected as a semifinalist in the 2006 Thelonious Monk International Piano competition. Gould attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, augmented his studies at the Berklee Summer Performance Program, and was selected for the Brubeck Summer Institute Program. For the past two years, Gould has been a member of the Donald Harrison Quartet, with which he recorded three CDs and a DVD, and toured the United States and Europe. Gould has also performed with Ralph Peterson, Terence Blanchard, Branford Marsalis, Nicholas Payton and others.
