Hello my name is Lolita C. I am a vocalist; people call me Lolita, I was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 20 on a cold winter day to Mr. and Mrs. Luther Huey. Later in years we move to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to live. My love for music began in my early years when I noticed I would sing a story from a book instead of reading it. I realized then to view it as an instrument with great possibilities. I have always had a great need to sing and share with others. Music was very much in the family, growing up with a grandmother playing the piano and directing the choir and family members in singing groups they were my inspiration. I always knew that I had that special talent growing up in church, singing and traveling with my high school choir and also graduating "Most Talented" formed by my peers and winning many music awards. My first song that made me work hard on my music was ‘Be Grateful†by the Hawkins Family. I wanted to feel the power that came from that song every time I got up to sing a different song. Rooted in the richness of the church, I continue working on my talents and trained my voice as best I could to be as unique as possible. I moved to Atlanta, GA to pursue my dream of becoming a complete artist. I am inspired to share with the world my life in music, the good times and the hard times. Hoping someone can become free in their mind. My love for God, commitment to family and friends are the most important thing in this world. I perform as musical duet group called (Chuck & Lolita) which encourage lives for years. We received positive support from events and shows that we performed. Despite all the hard work it still was not enough to satisfy my desire to express myself completely. My goal is to move on and continue to listen to call of God on my life to touch people all around the world. My musical talents that inspired me are Gladys knight, Juanita Bynum, Yolanda Adams, BeBe and CeCe Winans, The Hawkins Family, Anita Baker, Luther Vandross, Anthony Hamilton to name a few.
