Rafael Rivera, an artist in the making. Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico and raised by his grandparents,and introduced to music at a very young age, he was taught all he knows about music by his grandfather who is a highly respected musician in Puerto Rico. His grandfather plays the first guitar in El Trio Vegabajeno in PR. And thats just one of Rafaels musical bacgrounds. His mother was also a singer who has performed as a bac up singer for artists such as Olga Tanon and Gisselle. He started playing guitar at the age of 5 and was also starting to learn how to play percussion instruments. At the age of 11 him and his parents decided to move to Florida, where he currently lives. There he started taking piano lessons in his 7th grade year and developed a habit of using the keyboard and synthesizer wich began his real pursuit into the music carreer. At the age of 15 he began writing lyrics and making his own beats with the help of his friend Sebastian aka Vampi. With this motivation to make more music he then met Jose Frias and Edwin aka "los Sakyz" ™ and began his major colaboration. now more comonly known as DJ EcKo, Rafael is now tryin to get big and accomplish his dreams of becoming a great producer
