From the outer suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, With Life in Mind formed in September of 2007 with several intentions literally in mind. Their goal: to write tightly laced, quick shifting music which had influenced them over the previous years before. It had taken drastic time, but WLIM is ready to give it their all and are positively aware that it was well worth the wait.
Just as their name says it, every aspect of their daily lives has been poured out into their music and they feel no reluctance in expressing that through powerful and thoughtful songs.
What makes With Life in Mind’s music so interesting and appealing is the writing process and preparation. The couple years beforehand consisted of writing development and a changing of music style that the band had originally decided upon. In a matter of time, WLIM gathered roots of ideas and inspiration to grow into something fresh, compromising together to call their own, while staying true to the metal and hardcore genre. After what seemed like an extended wait, they decide it is now time to dish out what they have to the table.
With a taste for the rhythmic, melodic, and at times, technical aspect, With Life In Mind combines a style of obliterating metal and hardcore with slight touches of emotional ambiance that all fans can relate to. Within each song, pace varies from complex to catchy shreds, all the while as the band throws an annihilation of energy and sound into a live unsuspecting audience. Listeners can agree, WLIM’s music may very well be described as “Epic.†But for the band itself, it’s been a long, winding road for what they’ve poured their hearts into. Rest assured; the journey has just begun.
