About Me

Fabiano Gummo was born at the summit of the Saturday, June 10, 1978, auspiciously - as has been said - under the zodiac sign of Gemini, in the extreme south of Brazil. He started his "verbivocovisual" production in the late 80s, linking the daily life of the minimalist suburban pampa to the diverse aesthetic conceptual media, such as painting, drawing and intersign poetry. Constantly facing the "absurd" as an excuse to attack, Gummo developed several projects in the antiartistic northern scene, with emphasis on the "I Mostra Platina de Poesia Totalitária Algonauta Navepoesia Galacto-Canibal" in 2003, in Porto Alegre's Planetarium. Furthermore, through the concept of his series "Destrutura", he unfolded the very scientific basis for his symbiosis between Art and Mathematics, and at the kickoff of the 21st Century founded the Fuzzie Cannibal Comics, an independent label which has, since then, been releasing a series of fanzines, minicomics and minigraphicnovels titles.

Fuzzie Cannibal Comics is an independent label created to increase the contact between contemporary absurd and you. It is a sort of a suburban comic tentacle, or, like IGOR DeVORE in his "Primate Behaviour" said: "more or less like that potato bag crawling along our living room".
The experimental range in FuCa Comics tries to address its marrow flurry with the old pulps of Science Fiction, the so-called "dramatical hiperexistentialism" and also the day-by-day commonplace. Each copy is filled with b-side stories without any specific spotlight, designed only by the author emotions in a tranfigurated inner vision.
FuCa also produces and random distributes the following titles: Mind Keepers, Abordagem Laxativa, Cannibal Pill's, The Mazeboy, Ubi, W.Moe, A Desencarnação de Stella Schunk, O Desfiladeiro em Azlo Brum and Poindexter Review.
