JP Sivonen is known from the Tap Jelly Blues Band which he founded in 1994. Since 2007 JP has been doing gigs and recordings under his own name with a help of selected guest musicians. The music performed by JP is heavy bluesrock faithful to its traditions. Both his own songs and re-arranged blues/rock classics are included in his set. JP Sivonen performs as a duo, trio or troubadour.JP Sivonen was born in Lahti in the year of 1974. Originally he studied theory of music and clarinet playing but changed later to guitar. The most remarkable from his earlier line-ups is the heavy/rock band called Wart Hog. JP also plays on Wart Hog's EP called "Still Falling The Rain".
