PIERRE THE MOTIONLESS : The music of this beatmaker from Clermont (a small town near Paris), is a delicate mix of electronic and organic sounds, characteristic of all the dichotomies that are implied in his work: energy / slowness, complexity / minimalism... PTM writes and sings for the electro hip-hop acoustic band Motionless ; the band is working on an album that will be released for the end of the year. A solo EP, an Ep with Ira Lee and an album with Andrre are also currently in production.
ROMA : This beatmaker from Toulouse is famous for his melodic instrumentals, which permits him a large number of collaborations with famous hip-hop artists from the international indie musical landscape, like Moshe , Brzowski , Epic and others. Roma is also collaborating with Andrre for an upcoming album, AndrRomak that will probably be some kind of masterpiece.
JAMES P HONEY : Coming from Maidenhead, in the west side of London, James P. Honey is impressive mainly because of his rapid flow, and his british accent that makes him more understandable than many other rappers. Fond of dark ambient sounds, this MC is making his way through eclectic beats, and is collaborating in a very productive way with such artists like Demune , Bleubird , Ancient Mith , Wormhole , and Moshe , among many others. One of his song is featuring in the last WePushButtons compilation. a Maxi with Zoën will be released this autumn on Milled Pavement Records , closely followed by Mr. Honey's own album.
DELECTABLE : At the same time MC and DJ, Delectable is the embodiement of his music: ambivalent and irreconcilable. He consistantly refuses to be cloistered in a genre. Fond of singing chorus, but also amateur of darker spoken flows, he plays with the free will. His live performances are representative of the work of a tightrope walker, dealing with spicy derision and sweet provocation. He is a member of the crew Zoom
E-PHONE : Beatmaker coming from Amiens, the work of E-Phone is balanced between electro, hip-hop and down-tempo, flirting with diverse influences like noise or pop, but always keeping his two trademarks: Dark beats and naïve melodies.
ZOEN : Intimist melodies and melancholic texts are illustrating the work of zoën. Influenced by different artists such Why? or Dominique A . The articulated flow of Zoën is atypical, and proves to all sceptical audiences that it is possible to keep an abstract touch while rapping in french. Coming from Tours, this MC / Beatmaker is member of tjhe crews Zoom and Mr Robot, and he just signed an EP with James P. Honey on Milled Pavement Records .
ANDRRE : This young canadian MC did an astonishing entrance in the indie hip-hop scene. His collaborations with diferent artists like Nomad, Epic , Nolto , Variex , or Astronautalis celebrated his flow: half rapping, half singing, caratcteristic of his work. Andrre is working on an album with Roma, and another with Pierre the Motionless.
FUNKEN : Cinema, descriptions and stories are some of the themes inspiring the lyrics of this MC from Tours. Both increasing his skills as a beatmaker and in the same time creating songs, he recently collaborated with Avatar , Ira Lee and Andromeda Subvert . He is a member of Zoom Crew and Mr Robot and he is now working on a rock music project called Otomox
DABRAINKILLA : Settled in Nancy, DaBrainkilla is a talented amateur filmmaker. He is currently working on a tortured short film project involving some very talented and important artists of the underground electronic landscape like Eraldo Bernocchi , Jon Kennedy or Dead Hollywood Stars ; the short film will also include 2 tracks from Pierre the Motionless. Add to this he directed the video Nice Clean White for James P. Honey and Roma. Also interested in photography and infography, he did the album cover for AndrRomak .
