RED RICHARDS discovered the sounds of electronic music on FM radio in the 90’s. His eclectic taste in music and creative passion for digital beats quickly revealed a colorful universe.
2001 > joined the TEST label with his buddy DJ Béru. Red Richards was able to step behind the decks and start playing his own mixes at various events. His style always brings something different to the dance floor - it is indeed a unique exploration into the different rhythms and sounds of electronic music.
2005 > started collaborations with singers and jazz musicians, performing an original Jazzy House & Soulful “mix n live” concept.
Late 2005, in collaboration with Aris, Red Richards came back in the spotlight with a modern live venue, 100% Trip Hop music called Idiosyncrasy – Arcane 13th. Initially unreleased, it was picked up by the French label Vision Alternative in 2009.
In the meantime, in December of 2005, Red Richards was ranked 2nd at the French national DJ competition organized by Universal Music and Mosaic Label.
2005 & 2006 > elected the most innovative official DJ of Reunion Island by the local press.
Inspired by years of experience and fruitful cooperation, year 2006 marked the take off of Red Richards’ career as a DJ/producer with his first official releases.
2007 > broadened his experiences, traveling to Japan, Australia and USA.
2008 > signed with the German independent label Exabeat; released a couple of EPs and started collaborating with a fresh French label, TechTech.
2009 > released first album, Messenger… of the divine wills, a dance floor trip through various styles of electronic music based on personal experiences.
He's currently working on several different projects with an American “MC Calvin,” a Japanese singer, Nana Chica, and new remixes for artists such as Tiger Hi-Fi, Parano & Parker
