we come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectl

About Me

Well, I'm a 30yr old who is extremely feminine, excited by little things and probably one of the most caring and selfless souls you'll ever meet.....loves shoes, pink, a fine bottle of red, classic movies, Audrey Hepburn, sparkle, Dad hugs, hot pants 'n' roller skates, blowing bubbles, walking in the rain, the smell of the ocean, a cosy bed on a cold winter's night, a good cup of strong tea, kid art, old skool classic games like Twister and Ker-Plunk. Loves a bubble bath at any time of the day, the smell of pine trees at Christmas, play fights in the snow. I like to try things at least once and want to experience as much as I can in this life that I've been given. Live every day as if it's your last, and live every night as if it's your first. Life's too short...live it to the full. Go after what you want and get it. Obviously you can't know what an individual is really like from this site. I joined this to keep in touch with my friends from far away, but I would like to meet many more folk from all over the world. I love people and fully believe that we come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.

Music:

Pretty much EVERYTHING......from Clapton to Beethoven. I absolutely ADORE Kelly Clarkson - one of the best live performers that I have ever seen. I love unique voices - Eva Cassidy, Karen Carpenter, Norah Jones, Sarah Mclachlan and I appreciate a quality voice like Josh Groban, Whitney Houston, Celine, Mariah, Jessica Simpson, Christina A. There are specifics that I never tire of like Bryan Adams, Michael Jackson / Jackson 5 (the early stuff), Diana Ross, Tina Turner, anything ROB W, Kylie...I could go on and on....My Dad is a guitar genius and I've been brought up listening to Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Elton John, Tom Paxton, Cat Stevens, Tom Petty, Eric Clapton, Mark Knofler, Eagles, Beatles, Elvis, Abba, Simon and Garfunkel, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell etc. It really depends on my mood....my CD collection is extremely special to me and I tend to listen to music first thing in the morning when I wake up and last thing at night, before sleepytime. I truly love, love, love Kylie Minogue - she is my absolute heroine....completely the ideal woman. God bless you and may you return to full health soon.Hampden September 1st, 2006. Taken by me!!

Movies:

I love movies. Firstly, I think my parents have influenced me in some of the films that I like. Hitchcock - Psycho, The Birds, Rebecca. From Here To Eternity. Gone With The Wind, Casablanca, The Graduate, Tootsie, My Fair Lady, The Sound Of Music. Classic horror - Halloween is genius.....and greatly disturbed me because I saw it when I was 12 yrs old. Anything by Steve McQueen - definately one of my favourite actors - The Great Escape...WOW and Bullit. Clint Eastwood - Dirty Harry, Million Dollar Baby, Bridges Of Madison Country (maybe not some of his westerns). Cary Grant. Gregory Peck. Robert Redford and Paul Newman - Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. Audrey Hepburn - Breakfast At Tiffanys is a treat. It's A Wonderful Life. Spielberg - Goonies, ET, Jaws, Indiana Jones, Schindler's List. The Bishop's Wife. I like movies from brat pack days - St. Elmos Fire, The Outsiders, Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, About Last Night. I love movies with meaning behind them....Ethan Hawke - Before Sunrise / Before Sunset (If you haven't seen these YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST). Reality Bites. Stand By Me. Life as a House. Pay It Forward. The Shawshank Redemption. Seven. Oceans 11. Johnny Depp is a complete genius and I love everything he's done - sheer talent. All Bond films (esp. Goldfinger) with Sean Connery - he IS Bond. Simply shplendid. The obvious chick flicks where the girl gets the guy, like Bridget Jones, Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman... for light entertainment. Meet Joe Black - magical film. Jack Nicholson is one of my favourites - The Shining, As Good As It Gets, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. Ewan MaGregor, Colin Farrell - The Recruit. Leo DiCaprio - loved Romeo and Juliet. Anthony Hopkins - Silence Of The Lambs and Remains Of The Day. River Phoenix - what a waste - raw talent...I think that there are too many to mention......

Television:

The Apprentice USA is my favourite, Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, anything with Jamie Oliver, Ally McBeal season 4 (with Downey Jnr), old episodes of ER with Clooney, Dawsons Creek with always be one of my favourites. Lots of old skool shows like A-Team, Fame.....

Books:

My favourite book is To Kill A Mockingbird. One book which really struck a chord was A Child Called It, by Dave Peltzer. The Great Gatsby and Shakespere. Most things by Irvine Welsh, Stephen King (what an imagination- Firestarter...love it), Ian Rankin, John Grisham, James Herbert, Ian Fleming, Alistair Maclean, Clancy, Fitzgerald, Bronte, Jane Austin, Louisa May Alcott, Dickens, Mark Twain, Nicholas Sparks. I truly love poetry, too.

Heroes:

My Dad :) He has achieved pretty much everything in his life that he wanted to do; he is my rock and the voice in my head telling me that I can be the best that I can be...can't imagine my life without him in it. Donald Trump...I just love the guy and WILL work for him one day. Kylie. Oh, and RW.
