About Me

E-mail= [email protected]
SN on AIM= rockingcherub
Flickering distraction. Wonderful Shimmyist. Uses random French in conversation. Dresses up for no apparent reason. Wants to save the world, but never sure how.
Soon to be Journalism major, lover of other people's stories, maybe will one day become an art therapist. Very attached to my mistakes. Fond of mixed tapes. Will always be a writer, wants to handle rejection even more gracefully than Bukowski himself. Ready to travel and conquer the world.
Compulsive reader, convicted bibliophile. Dictionaries have the best plots. Can be found reading Ambrose Bierce on my little, brown front porch and Palahniuk on concert lines. The best way to my heart is to loan/give me a book or to recommend something truly wonderful.
I have more hobbies than I can handle. In the process of writing a novella, learning Russian, finding the old lady gurus to fix my sewing machine, though I am perfecting my hand sewing.
I blast NPR and classical music with the windows down. I want to read Shakespeare's The Twelfth Night...in braille. I didn't learn how to snap my fingers until I was 19. I am a gal forever on a quest to find a working record player. Newest obsessions are hand-sewing scarves with pockets, duct tape wallet-making and writing letters.
I love knowledge, learning, and spontaneity. I'm witty, sarcastic, a philanthropist, a closet perfectionist and an idealist at heart. I believe the best nights are spent playing Scrabble, Pictionary and Whose Line Is It Anyway? I have the weirdest accent known to man, mainly because it is a mix of everything, and that I can mimic any accent on command. Many would say I'm not normal, but what can you expect when your name is Candace...Odds are if you never met me in person, you are pronouncing my name wrong... I love new patterns of thinking and see the world from a poet's/artists' eyes.
I am fun loving, analytical, diplomatic, random, silly, inquisitive, whimsical and at times withdrawn. I am an incredibly moral human being who just happens to have a very morbid sense of humor.
Notice: Anyone interested in unique art work I am your gal, I make custom art work, for the cost of supplies and depending on the complexity of the piece. If you are interested message me. If you are interested in custom clothes and duct tape wallets, I could send you samples upon request.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Creative people. Someone who will move me. Someone who is moved by the strangest things and the overwhelming beauty and chaos of the world. Someone who can kick my arse in Scrabble or at least come pretty damn close. Someone who would be willing to hop a train with me to NYC to look at art galleries and museums and score a cup of Bubble Tea in China Town. Someone to be my partner in swing dancing. Someone who uses correct spelling and grammar. Someone who would be willing to do new and interesting things with me, like going to the opera and/or sky diving. Someone who enjoys watching obscure films and actually has intelligent things to say about them. Someone who wouldn't mind being sketched. Someone who knows about and can appreciate the Steampunk movement and/or is a part of it. Someone who actually reads things that matter. Someone who is familiar with quantum mechanics. Someone who doesn't mind going for late night drives with me in the passenger seat, with the windows down, talking about the universe and snagging coffee/tea at a diner and/or Dunkin Donuts. Words are arbitrary, meaning lies in people. I am just coming to terms with this, because I love words. Someone worthwhile. You.
