Just a Little Light

About Me

add to your profileWelcome to Just a Little Light! (the following was written in October of 2007, but as of October, 2008, John and Debbie are divorced. Therefore, at the moment, the music is on hold for the "JLL" band, but Debbie is continuing with Zen Fishcamp, and John may or may not be performing solo...soon, there is a possibility that Debbie will revive JLL, or rename it and work with Guy and Jimmy, but at this time, the site is for keeping in touch and sending out news about ZFC concerts, as we are not performing as a couple anymore)John and Debbie have been making music as a couple for 28 years-24 of them as husband and wife. John plays electric guitar, steel string, classical, and bass, and has played in various bands since starting college. Debbie always enjoyed singing, and has played keyboards since high school, mostly at school and church. However, they never managed to put their musical talents together. John has been playing with the local psychedelic jam band Zen Fishcamp through several incarnations since about 1987. The last couple years he has been playing the role of bassist and singer. About a year ago, Debbie joined Zen Fishcamp as keyboard player and singer. Just a Little Light formed around the idea of a lighter approach, focused on vocals, steel string guitar, and various electronic keyboard sounds. We may be joined occasionally by special friends-percussion-lead guitar-bass-vocals, etc., and are open to jamming-joining others-or having others join us for an opportunity to explore new musical horizons. Check frequently for updates on the music. We are doing more songwriting and studio recording-as well as recording live shows. We'd love to hear from you, so post a comment or send a message and let us know what you think about Just a Little Light!!
