He realized he had a musical gift in high school, where he met Legendary, vocal coach, composer and lyricist, Dr. Lena Mclin (who has worked with R. Kelly, and Chaka Khan). She took Vince under her wing and helped him form his 1st group. Vince has performed all over Chicago in venues from, the House of Blues, to the Auditorium Theater (for over 3000 people). Vince got the attention and recognition from Hip Hop legend, Lauryn Hill. His smooth vocal style is a combination of Michael Jackson, El Debarge, Maxwell, Justin Timberlake and Eric Benet, rolled into 1. Vince has opened up for artists such as, R. Kelly, Boyz II Men, Camio, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Chingy, Tatiana Ali, Selena Johnson, Crucial Conflict and Slave. Vince entered the 1st annual Chicago Idol Contest (hosted by, ClearChannel, and 107.5 WGCI (Chicago's number 1 radio station for Hip/Hop and R&B), and V103. Out of 1200 people, Vince made it to the top 15 finalists. Vince then moved to Atlanta to pursue his dream of becoming a recording artist. Shortly after moving to "ATL", Vince was signed by an independent record label to an 18 month contract. Vince La Voz is now a free agent! He is currently in the studio workin on music from Legendary Producer Scott Storch. He is also working with Writer/Producer Don King on his 2 hit singles "Good Girl" & "Fall All Alone". Vince La Voz is also collaborating with Writer/Producer/Artist Charley Mac on 3 hit singles "Skittles", "She's Different" & "Fall All Alone". In his spare time he is also collaborating with local rap artists, promoting his demo until he gets signed again. Vince La Voz just finished his 1st Music Video "Hataz" (a collaboration with Southside Underground Records and Aztec Boy Ent). Vince La Voz is currently in and out the studio, collaborating with Rapper/Producer, J-Doe (MYSPACE.COM/ILIRISFREEDOM). They are planning to release their first single, "Shawty Hit the Floor", summer of 09!
