Of course, band members Bdub and Mista Tee were influenced by world renowned mob flick but the name GoodFellaz was chosen in order to express what type of guys they really are. Their early days consisted more of raw and conscious lyrics but when producer Mista Tee finally bought his Korg Triton, the Fellaz sold their backpacks for Pro Tools with Autotune and started to work on an electro/dance fusion combined with†gangsta†rap they now refer to as "Hip Pop". Although they mainly ride commercial melodies, the boys still deliver sharp lyricism through complex rhyme schemes. While both were part of SME, after winning the Mic Check Contest in 2005 and successfully releasing three mixtapes, they eventually decided it would be a better fit for them to act as a duo and hence, step up their game. Since, the boys have been hard at work and are preparing their debut album entitled "New School" which is set to hit the shelves in the first quarter of 2009. To give the fans a treat during the waiting process, in May 2008, the rap and r&b duo released their first official project, the street album "Candy Flavored Gangsta Music" under their own imprint, CFGM Group. Alongside a chosen few, the GoodFellaz have been named ambassadors of the 44th final of “Les jeux du Quebec†and will perform for the opening ceremony. Having burned down more than 50 nightclubs and opened for big players such as Busta Rhymes’ Flipmode Squad, the boys are ready to take this worldwide."New school is cool dudes makin’ music you move to" –GoodFellaz
