About Me

Tim Palmer is a fiddle player, multi-instrumentalist, sound engineer, DJ and producer from Oundle Northants. He started playing violin at an early age but it wasn't until many years later that he discovered his love of folk music and in particular Irish fiddle tunes. He also plays guitar and the mandolin family of instruments. Tim has spent the last few years honing his skills as a fiddle player and has developed an extensive repertoire of mainly traditional tunes from Ireland and further afield. He is currently in the process of recording some of these tunes and hopes to make them available on this site very soon. He is a regular player at local sessions and is always on the look out for new and exciting projects.As well as being a musician and DJ, Tim is also a successful sound engineer and producer and has his own small studio running Logic. Whilst Tim feels perfectly at home working in the studio his real love is working with live sound. He has been the man behind the mixing desk at numerous local events in Peterborough and Stamford as well as running sound on small stages at a number of festivals, including Sunrise and Big Green Gathering, over the last few years.
