Sounds Like:Tim Gerron has twenty years of experience ranging from producing, studio engineering, studio management, live engineering, and road management. After graduation from a Dallas recording school in 1990, he started his career at the Back Room in Austin as house engineer. It was at the Back Room that Tim met the Skate Nigs, Skrew and Texas metal band, Deadhorse, working as all three band's front of house engineer.

In 1991, Tim met Danny Cabela, owner of DC Recording, and was hired for his first job as a recording engineer. During this period of time Tim did 5 North American tours and 6 European tours as front of house engineer and road manager for Cleavland-based Spudmonsters, SF-based Grotus, and Houston-based Deadhorse.

In 1992 Tim moved to Los Angeles where he went to work at Westlake Audio and worked his way through the ranks of runner, detailer, set up tech, assistant engineer and finally engineer. For the next 5 years, Tim worked with such diverse and legendary artists as The Monkees, Ice Cube, James Taylor, Simon Phillips, Nancy Sinatra, Montell Jordan, Henry Rollins and Joe Strummer.

Tim returned to Austin to assist the Cabela brothers with Music Lab's expansion to their Oltorf facility. He now has a huge history of working with local Austin bands, recording and doing live sound at home and on the road. He worked with such Austin acts such as Gibby Haines and His Problem, Vast Soak, Doyle Bramhall, The Boxing Lesson, MOD, and Un Loco.

2007 has been a productive year with Tim producing, engineering and mixing myriad of diverse projects. From the NY Hardcore punk of Mod to the Psychedelic rock of the Boxing Lesson and the Texas blues of Doyle Bramhall to singer-songwriter Steven Hanson.
