Canaries is James Webb and Tom Szidon. They met in Chicago in 2001 and began playing together while James was recording the third Webb Brothers album.After many late nights of singing and playing guitars on couches, for small or nonexistent audiences, Canaries recorded five songs with Assassins frontman Joe Cassidy at his Musicola Studio (Storm, Southern Coincidence, Skybend, I Still Dream About Your Love, Everybody Loves A Winner). Jason Batchko (of Integrated Cookbook) played drums.James moved to Los Angeles in 2004 and since then Canaries has recorded a few through the mail (Lucky Old Sun, Not That Bad). An album is in the works for sure.
