Albert Castro: He's a mogul who doesn't own a company or produce a concrete product. He doesn't have rolex or roll in a Bentley. But his heart and soul is rich as heaven's gold. With more than 180k in his account, this dentistry student is well off into a positive future... But less than a decade earlier, his life was the total opposite. “Probably the worst time of my life was when I was 16. [I] was a student at Ribet Academy- top notch- and f*cked around. I was literally bored with nothing to do, so I decided, F*ck it, let me have fun." Fun it wasn’t. At 16, Albert was incarcerated for Grand Theft Auto. Moved to juvenile for 6 months, Ribet Academy drops him. “but that's not what hurt, it’s his dad rejecting him as a son" He changed. Avoiding gangs, nightlife, and negativity. Expecting he is now a happy person headed to the positive journey in life, he was ready. Little did he know, his life was going from bad, to worse. As a result of his depression, Albert gained dramatic weight at the age of 22. "I was medically termed Obsessed; I never knew I can be obsessed. I thought Obsessed was Nutty Professor. Wouldn't have expected I'd be obsessed" Waking up one morning, he [Albert] went to the restroom and looked himself in the mirror. "I couldn't believe what I saw. This isn't me." As he fell on his knees and cried" How he lost weight: “I worked out 6 times a week except Sunday, I go to church. I avoided oil. Diet is as is- if not more important than exercise. I'd say its 60 percent diet, 40 percent exercises" Now Albert weighs 180 with less than 10 percent body fat (ideal for LAPD) a student at USC majoring in biology, with a loving girlfriend he is optimistic in life. "I'm always looking forward to tomorrow" Visit: www.Philstar.com
