About Me

I got my own Free MySpace Layout from Pyzam.com
I am a wife and a mother~and that's about it for domesticity! Well, not really. I am a very hands-on mom and my life pretty much revolves around my son. Oh yeah~and I can cook. Especially Italian. But that really *is* it for domesticity. I am a homebody, but I'm not into all that home-and-garden crap; it bores me. Home is where the heart is and my heart is my family, my music, and my books. I have a restless gypsy soul, a gypsy mind, and a gypsy spirit, which might sound romantic, but it is actually a major pain in the ass when you live in a whitebread suburb where diversity means different shades of blonde and where off-off-off-off-off Broadway plays pass for culture.According to Myers-Briggs, I'm an INFP--a "Healer Idealist," and though only one percent of the population fits that profile, I am fortunate enough to count several other "Idealists" as friends.Other than my husband and my son and my big snuggly Lab, Mojo, music and writing are what keep my heart beating. I am a writer, editor, and music business veteran who is passionate about life and love and who has been blessed to have known and worked with lots of great artists and truly good people. For nearly a decade, I worked with Rick Danko of The Band, my dear departed friend and kindred spirit. He "taught me how to seek the path" and that it is possible to live in this world in an authentic way, to be a kind person, to be yourself and be true to yourself, and to not kiss anyone's ass or hurt anyone to get where you want and need to be. To find out more about Rick, check out my Rick Danko site at www.RickDanko.com

Goodbye, Bryson

I didn't know him, but I felt as if I did. Bryson McCabe, a sweet 16-year-old from Windsor, Ontario, died by his own hand on Thursday. Bryson loved Rick and The Band, and I "met" him when he contacted...

The Band - Up On Cripple Creek (Live-1970)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIpfhEwlw5c Does any other band come close? Is there a better drummer than Levon? And who on this earth, other than Rick Danko, could make yodeling sound cool?
