Ever drank Bailey's from a shoe?

About Me

I'm facing the dilemma of losing the intelligence I've built up thus far in life in exchange for becoming a blue collar type. Regardless of what's said on the subject, the two can't live in harmony. I'm proud of my working class roots, but I refuse to let my sense of rebellion and general artsy-ness die in a violent blaze of glory. I love music of any shape, form or function, art, and beatnik style poetry. Make my brain hurt, and we'll be friends forever.

My Interests

Carrying on conversations on anything even remotely interesting, consorting with interesting people (and by interesting I don't mean creepy or unsettling), listening to music while driving (the only way to go), finding excuses to drive so I can listen to music, going places I haven't been before, burning brain cells via alcohol, lining the pockets of the RJ Reynolds corporation with my generous monetary contributions in return for their fine nicotine products, and pain (the sort that only a woman or a buzzing needle can give).

I'd like to meet:

Beautiful people. You know who you are. I also need a huge amount of mental stimulation so I don't contract the stupids.

Music:

Any music capable of producing an emotional response. Artistic talent comes in all shapes and sizes.

Movies:

Haven't really watched too many movies lately.

Television:

Metalocalypse, The Mighty Boosh.

Books:

Oh, no. Not books. News articles. Hundreds of them. Seriously.

Heroes:

My grandparents. Two hillbilly rebels with hearts of gold. I miss the hell out of them.

My Blog

Buh.

I've come to the startling conclusion that I'm not an optimistic person at all. Even though good things happen to me all the time, I don't expect the best outcome for any situation. Even my sense of h...

Damn.

Friday I jammed out with some friends from work. And it was the most fun I've had in a long time. My happiness is slowly but surely being replaced by the realization that I'm wasting my talent. Some p...

Why is it that the corporate world refuses to acknowlage the existance of the 3rd shift? Is it really that amazing to them that people work after 4 pm? Is home insurance so important that it can't wai...

Muh

Life really sucks. No way around it. I didn't count on living this long, and therefore haven't done very much planning. Everything I enjoy is slowly be ripped from me and replaced with shit. No money....

I'm afraid of the future

Technology has decided to take a big steamy dump on me this weekend. Christina's computer flatly refuses to interact properly with any operating system, my router has been reset at least a dozen times...

buh humbug

Where is my Christmas spirit this year? That sort of quasi halo around everything and everyone during the holiday season. The way that time seemed to screech to a halt during December while everyone a...

I actually won a raffle today. And it was a raffle for a laptop. The one that I'm writing this from. Rock on. Somebody up there really likes me.

Smoking...

The city of Belmont, CA annouced that they intend to make smoking althogether illegal. I whole-heartedly do not agree with it one bit. There's a lot more depth to this issue than meets the eye. &...
