About Me

I am no longer performing live. I am currently writiing and recording and back on the road again. I may perform live again if the gig is for a worthy charity!Proud ASCAP Member. I started playing the guitar when I was 6 years old. By the time I was 12 I was a working musician. I went on to play in several bands and played some of the most famous clubs on the eastern seaboard. CBGB, THE BOTTOM LINE, TRACKS, THE FACTORY, THE ROCK PALACE AND THE STONE PONY. I moved to TN in the late eighties and played in some popular bands in middle TN. To name a few (Behind bars, BFI & THE WISE GUY, Absolute zero, The Rock Rats, The Southern Class Band, Speedway, Subject to change and Motion). I now do a solo act and I have performed this act in bars, restaurants, casinos, cruise ships and coffee houses in TN,NC,OK,AL,GA,and TX . Redemtion song

SOUTHPAW GUITARISTS (LEFTIES YO!) I despise our right-handed world. Hell when I started playing you had to special order a left-handed guitar. But slowly and surely thing are changing. I played my 1st 3 or 4 years upside down cause I didn€™t know any better. The chords in most music books are for right-handed people, what€™s up with that? The nice lady next door when I was a kid said I should learn to play right-handed. Hey I never got famous like Jimi but I made some fazools. The next time you enter a music store check out the left-handed section...I hate the right-handed world and the so-called conventional way of doing things. A famous guitar player friend of mine once said (I wont mention his name but he's in the my friends section)"Stevie why would you play without a pick" And I said "... why would you play with one€? Just one of my little rants!
