What began as a temporary solution to a last minute gig became the Crazy Ivans: spawn of three Beaumont bands - The Molly Maguires, Sharks from Space, & The Ryan Gist Band. Ryan Gist had slowly begun introducing his songwriting to a full band since 2004 with the Ryan Gist Band (name due to huge ego and lack of creativity). Ryan and Mike Ward met in 2002 and immediately got to work on Ryan's expansive library of original songs, playing acoustic shows throughout the Southeast Texas region. Jacob Johnson had played bass in the psychedelic prog rock band Red Shift, then contributed to the signature sound of the Molly Maguires.
Daniel Coborn completed the group early in 2007. Since then, a few unfortunate audience members have had their faces melted off. We are told they will recover physically but not mentally.
