Mike Brindisi & The New York Rock

Michael Anthony Brindisi was born in Syracuse, N.Y. and raised in Herkimer, N.Y. as a child he had many interests and hobbies. As he grew older he developed a passion for comedy and a love for playing the guitar. Mike was so driven to learn the guitar that even though he is left handed, he taught himself to play right handed , because the only guitars he had access to were right handers. It wasnt long after perfecting his guitar skills that he began to write lyrics for songs. His passion for songwriting and desire to entertain led him to start his first band at the age of fifteen. Even at the young age of 15 he and his band became a hot commodity on the local bar circuit. One by one bigger groups called upon him to front their bands. Soon after, Michael began to not only develop as an amazing performer but as an amazing songwriter. It was then he was looked at by an Entertainment company in Tennessee. They flew him to Nashville to record his now 6 song EP. Although he did not receive the record deal hewas in search of he learned a valuable lesson of how hard the music industry can be on an artist. After the Nashville experience Michael then decided to try stand up comedy on the side. He was quickly earned stage time at a local club in Herkimer and then soon performed at Carolines in NYC where he scored a role on SNL as an extra. Mike thought that maybe comedy was his ticket people everywhere would tell him he was a star no matter what he did, but he knew in his heart it was music he wanted to conquer first. Mike decided to try to go on his own for the first time as a solo artist. He moved to Ithaca Ny with 200 dollars and his music equipment. His first few months in Ithaca were a struggle he would earn money by opening his guitar case anywhere and everywhere. He landed some gigs at the local bars and developed an instant following. His confidence and stage presence had the town buzzing as Mike alone blew away most Full bands. After 4 short months in Ithaca his music started hitting the local airwaves creating more of a following for Mike. He has become the most requested local artist in less than a years time and has since done many radio interviews. His following grows day by day and he realizes he made the right choice in pursuing music Full time. Driven, passionate, intense, energetic and ambitious are words people use to describe Michael. He has gained valuable experience in every aspect of the entertainment business. He hopes that with the right management company and record label he could make his dreams come true taking the music world by storm. One can listen to his cd and hear what he has to offer but it is his live performances that leave you with goose bumps and rushing to buy his cd. It is then that you truly understand that he is a force to be reckoned with, the total package, and a true showstopper.
