JERZ - I"M A DOG'
What’s the game without your boy JERZ? Well the world will never know but history will tell all. The Queen City’s own high demand hip hop icon is on top of his game. Whether its in the studio spittin fire over dope tracks, opening for the talented Lil Ru, or starring in music videos, dvd, and Upcoming movies. The self proclaimed Dog (single in heavy rotation on the streets as we speak) is taking grinding to another level. Collaborating with the best in the business beware of his bite. Barking at all who doubt him. There is no cure for haters but JERZ is the treatment. Album "Don Of Tha City" Coming Soon don’t forget to take your dose. Thanks in advance for your support!A true Carolina Boy born June 3, 1988. JERZ came from a musically talented family. Residing with his grandmother in the tough streets of Hidden Valley until her untimely death put his undeniable musical talent on the back burner for the moment. His mother transitioned him and his older brother Rico to another area in north charlotte. Gang involvement and drug trafficking plagued and almost defined his future. As fate would have it his pops stepped in and JERZ found himself in Heritage East Apartments, right behind Hidden Valley aka the belly of the beast. An older more mature JERZ emerged and at Vance High School a star was reborn. Although he had to make ends meet and on occasion would resort back to his old habits. He can admit nobody’s perfect but too many people are average. Thinking outside the box, fueled with his intense passion for music JERZ set out to accomplish his dreams. He saved enough money and bought the equipment needed to mastermind and maximize his potential as a true artist. Along with a few friends be became a rapping, mixing and engineering monster, literally staying up all night perfecting his craft. Unfortunately his dedication and work ethic outweighed the importance of school. JERZ found himself moving yet again. This time with his mother to a hood on the east side of charlotte. Dreams never die they only get bigger. His new alma mater East Mecklenburg High School’s mascot could not have been more befitting. JERZ soared like an eagle and reached new heights. With 20/20 vision his eye was on the prize. On the first day of school he met Delmar Ward (as known as C-Blue) they created the talk of the streets known as MoneyGrindRecordz. Menace to society turned enterprising hardhead. JERZ was so eager to put out a CD. He freestyled to 15 beats, created a mix tape and called it “ A Day in the Queen City†having been around all the blocks at such a young age it was a shoo-in. So he thought and sold his new album at school. Like many of the greats a true perfectionists JERZ wasn’t happy with the hot and cold vibe of his peers. He told himself that on his next projectHe would take his time and make it something that peoplewouldn't forget. On Sept.13, 2005 (JERZ's favorite rapper, Tupac's 9thanniversary since his tragic death), JERZ dropped his second album, titled, "Domination" and sold over 1,000 copies at 5 dollars each. You do the math, major accomplishment from a young don out here.Word got around to JERZ cousin Michael Cornwell. Michael Cornwell, also known as "Corn", called JERZ up one day and told him that he andone of his business partners, Michael E. Crowe, was in thedevelopmental stages of starting up a label called Retaliation Recordsand wanted to sign him. JERZ, taking up the offer, signed a lucrativedeal. He is now working on his third album titled, "Da Underdog". With highhopes and expectations, he is hoping that this is the one everybodywill enjoy. But, as fate would have it, Retaliation Records is nolonger. Parting ways friendly and fair, JERZ felt he needed to pursehis own business."Don Of Tha City" will be the first official album released under JERZMoneyGrindRecordz and will feature his 2 HIT singles entitled, "I'm ADOG" Featuring Shawty, & DOG MEAT Featuring Lyric, Both produced by D.""Lexus" Williams.
