What I Need "Is about establishing what's important in life," says Corey Lemons, the young and dynamic Hip Hop/R&B artist. "It is not my intent to preach or even try to have 'church'", says Corey. "I just want to share some insight that I have learned and possibly shine a light on some areas that may have been troubling someone in their life, that's all". These feelings of hope, insight, joy and even sorrow connect to a variety of listeners in different situations and locales around the world.
What I Need was recorded in Atlanta, GA at what was then PhattPlanet Studios and produced by up and coming songwriter/producer "K-ROCS" (pronounced "kay-rocks") who now runs http://www.a-trax.net/ with his Business Partner R.E.G.. The project was executively produced by Kirk Williams and Mario D'Andre Robinson The project offers nice Hip-Hop/R&B cuts with some very nice contemporary ballads that really stir the emotions.
It's been a long time since "What I Need" was recorded. Corey continues to grow in his gifts of singing and writing. According to Corey, "Music is a great way to communicate across all boundaries. Making this record was, in part, a way for my generation to give insight to what we go through and experience while exploring what is real and lasting in this ever changing world."
