GODDAMN was formed in Bergen, Norway the fall of 2007 by former CONCUSSION vocalist Yngve "Bolt" Christiansen. He was joined by former KRAKOW drummer Kristoffer Halvorsen, guitarist Thomas Lambach Viken and bassist Kenneth Iversen from HAUK. Last but not least guitarist Henrik Berge HÃ¥land came in to the project. Kenneth Iversen had to quit the band a month later, and where replaced by Jack E. Tennold from LIVSTID/ HELLFIGHT.
Goddamn started out fast and brutal and kept a big focus on doing great live shows. The winter of 2008 they did a lot of live shows in Bergen and got tonns of experience. In April they hooked up with Producer Marius Strand from Strand Studio (Black Comedy, Susperia, Shot at Dawn) Oslo, Norway . 3 days of recording and the Goddamn Ep was done. It got a great review in Scream Magazine and got 4 out 5 stars. Also the first outoftown gig was done at Elmstreet in Oslo. Jack E. Tennold left the band to continue with Livstid, and Kenneth Iversen re-entered. The fall of 2008 Goddamn came in second at Emergenza festival finals in Bergen and did 2 more outoftown gigs in Sandnes and Oslo.
2009 started with the release of the "Still" video. Then a tour cross Norway with the band SIC from Faroes Islands. March Goddamn hit the studio startet working on second Ep. April was the South East Asia Tour. Goddamn was the first Norwegian metal band to play on Hong Kong, and in the Philippines Goddamn also played with Shadows Fall at Amoranto stadium infront of 50 000 people. Now the 7 track demo "Goddamn the Album" is done, and can be found on myspace.-"What we like in any way, inspire us in every way" Bolt says. And you will notice that when you listen to the music. It sounds like everything else, but at the same time it sounds like nothing else.
