ROBIN DANIEL Biography:

Over the last 2 years Robin Daniel has performed all over the UK and Internationally. Robin has been jamming his own tracks live (with other live musicians in session) and has been tearing up DJ sets with FX. The music has taken him to some unusual places, the high points have been the UK major cities (Birmingham, London, Leeds, and most recently Brighton) and Spain. His PUSH DJ tracks have had over 11,000 plays on Myspace where his talent was spotted by the legendary Cut La Roc. RocStar Records snapped him up and signed a two album deal. Two months in, you can get his Remix of Parkers SUGAR COATED track on iTunes. And a remix of Western Soul featuring US Hip Hop artist Rasco in 2008
Robins debut album is going to be a collection of tracks that go bump in the night, (and bump on the dancefloor). The album is due for release in 2008 and will be distributed by Virgin/Universal. To hear the music:

It was always about creativity for Robin so he quickly learned to use the CDJ as a creative tool. Currently Robin mixes on 3 or 4 CDJ decks with FX. Adding flavour and dynamics to the DJ set and adding loops of his own tracks live. Plus jamming with other musicians on stage.
The Musicians:
On this journey Robin teamed up with Sandeep Raval “World Multi percussionist†while jamming live at a freestyle session called MUMBO JUMBO. The Mumbo Jumbo night rapidly became a proper session and meeting point for people who gave a sh*t about good music and people’s right to perform music live. Session Percussionists came from Africa, India and the UK.

Then, keeping the mike alive, enter the Taharka. Robin hooked up with Taharka at the Boiler Room in Birmingham. Taharka blew up the spot. Weeks later his golden vocals debuted on Robins tracks. T is a Super trooper on stage; his vocals make the crowd bounce and point.
It was a lot of energy, so Robin recorded the musicians and mastered some demos to circulate. The gigs rolled in.
The momentum was growing, and experiences were happening. And in this turmoil Robin was typing his thoughts and feelings into his phone, to form them into lyrics for his tracks. (a method he still uses). Feeling like he had something to say Robin switched the mike on, and let go. Robin’s Lyrics are a personal account of what on earth was happening at the time of writing, and almost ‘confessional’ thought processes. Robin’s vocal debut came at the dragon festival Spain in 2007.

Spotted by Cut la Roc (through myspace) and signed to RocStar Records a few months later, Robin’s first duty was to remix Parkers Sugar Coated track. The video for the track was shot in Brighton by a guy who worked on a Fat Boy Slim video (WTF!) Check the video here it a must see.

The future…….
The future for Robin in 2008 promises yet further success. The Robin Daniel debut album on RocStar Records, (home of Cut la Roc, Bentley Rhythm Ace) distributed by Universal. More festivals (Dragon Festival Spain, Frequency festival Portugal, Naturalism Festival London), we’re shooting a video for MTV and other major music channels, more remixes on RocStar, more action in clubland with live music/DJ sets, to keep the dancefloor alive. More Robin Daniel Remixes. And just more decent parties with real people not plastic robots.
