Harrison Fire Department is manned mostly by 70 volunteers and supplemented by 14 career firefighters.

The Department elects its own chiefs and officers. All firefighters attend drills and training sessions, to maintain and improve their firefighting and rescue skills, so that they can function at maximum efficiency when needed.
