ENGLISH: Sonny is songwriter from the Caribbean. His various origins influenced him to create an acoustic, folk and reggae musical style. He writes and sings in English as well as in French, Creole and Spanish.Very talented musicians, such as Jean Alain Roussel (Bob Marley, Cats Stevens, The Police, Joe Cocker, Led Zepplin, etc.), Mike Cahen (Lionel Richie, Elkie Brooks etc.), Fabio Marchiriori (Linton Kwesi Johnson etc.), Baptiste Brondy (The Silencers etc.), Jahlina Birdland (Lizz Mc Comb etc.), recently worked with him on the recording of his songs. Sonny started his career a few years ago and local radios (Prun’, Jet FM, Youth Radio- St Martin, FWI) noticed him right away. Thus, he quickly became a member of the Sacem. He’s been performing and touring ever since, for various events (Festival Lézards dans la rue- 2005, Stade de Biguglia for the Pascal Ometa’s Pro Beach Soccer to benefit the association “Un Sourire, un Espoir pour la Vie”-2006, L’archipel Paris-2007, 2008, Parc de Bercy-2007, Paillote Olmeta Beach-2007-2008) and has also sung several times on radio programs (La Compil’ France Bleu).Sonny has a very diverse musical universe and also writes songs for other artists, inspired by their life and feelings. He recently wrote a fifteen songs album for a young artist, Lee. Because he loves words, music and being on stage so much, he decided to accompany her during concerts.Those last eight years spent in Africa and America enrich Sonny’s life and music. The various cultures and conceptions of life he saw there are the essence of most of his texts.That’s why he quite understandably got involved in a humanitarian project in Madagascar, in order to improve the conditions of the people living in the Ampefiloa-Ambodrina ghetto.He’s currently working on a collection of poems that should be released at the end of the year 2008 and he keeps on using his Caribbean tone and his original voice texture to sing about his life and about the lives of all the people he met during his journeys.&&&&&&&&&&& amp;&&&&&&&&&&&& amp;&&&&&&&&&&&& amp;&&&&&&&&&&&& amp;&&&&&&&&&&&& amp;&&&&&&&FRANCAIS:D’origine caribéenne, Sonny est auteur compositeur et interprète. Evoluant dans un style musical acoustique, folk , reggae, il mélange les influences de ses différentes cultures. Il écrit et chante en anglais, français, créole et espagnol .De talentueux musiciens ont récemment collaborés à l’enregistrement de ses chansons tels que Jean Alain Roussel (Bob Marley, Cats Stevens, The Police, Joe Cocker, Led Zepplin, etc….) Mike Cahen ( Lionel Richie, Elkie Brooks etc… ) Fabio Marchiriori (Linton Kwesi Johnson etc… )Baptiste Brondy (The Silencers etc…) Jahlina Birdland ( Lizz Mc Comb etc…). Sonny débuta voici quelques années et fut aussitôt programmé sur des radios locales( Prun’, Jet FM, Youth Radio- St Martin, FWI). Ainsi il devint rapidement sociétaire à la Sacem. Depuis, il enchaine les concerts au sein de différentes formations(Festival Lézards dans la rue- 2005, Stade de Biguglia lors du Pro Beach Soccer de Pascal Olmeta au profit de l’association « Un Sourire, un Espoir pour la Vie-2006, L’archipel Paris-2007, 2008, Parc de Bercy-2007, Paillote Olmeta Beach-2007-2008) ainsi que des passages en radio(La Compil’ France Bleu).Sonny a un grand répertoire et compose aussi pour d’autres artistes des chansons inspirées de leur vie et de leur ressenti. Il a récemment composé un album de quinze titres pour une jeune artiste, Lee. Par amour des textes, des mélodies et de la scène, il l’accompagne dans ses concerts.Ces huit dernières années passées sur les continents Africain et Américain ont enrichi la vie et la musique de Sonny. Les différentes cultures et visions de vies rencontrées sont l’essence de nombreux de ses textes.C’est donc tout naturellement qu’il s’est investi dans un projet humanitaire à Madagascar qui vise à améliorer les conditions de vie du ghetto d’Ampefiloa-Ambodrina.En préparation d’un recueil de poésie qui devrait voir le jour fin 2008, il continu avec son timbre métissé et son grain de voix original de chanter sa vie et celle de tous ces gens dont il a croisé le chemin. ..
