Only Sun is the son of Only Son.
One day Jack Dishel/Only Son (a NYC based songwriter) was performing his set as the sun was setting. The sun goddess Arien over heard and fell in love with his music. As the sun set behind the mountains, Arien swept up Jack and they spent the night together and had a really "hot" affair. Jack then fell asleep in the park and woke up in the dark.
A short time later Arien gave birth to a half sun half man and named him Only Sun. Only Sun was sent to earth because he wasn't very "bright" and didn't know how to "shine", so he kept getting lost in the sky.
Only Sun ran away to California where his father Jack was recording a new album. When Only Sun arrived, Jack was almost finished recording and had to move back to New York, but the meeting inspired Jack to write a deeply personal song about the love affair with Arien, the sungoddess, and the experience with his estranged son/sun. That song "Brand New Broken Heart" was the last song Jack recorded for his album "Drop to the Top".
Left alone in California, Only Sun took up a musical career much like his father--perhaps hoping to win approval. Sometimes, Only Sun "warms up" the crowds who are waiting in line to see his father's show. Only Sun really "shines" when he is performing Only Son cover songs with just a little "brighter" feel to them.
Although the birth of his sun/son was not planned by Jack, Only Sun doesn't believe he's an accident.
