Jan Brabec

I was born 4th January 1982 in Pilsen, Western Bohemia, Czech republic, where I live till nowadays. My first musical steps has been realised in a default art school for children and young people, where I learned to play the piano. Then I left after 2 years and come back to the field of music at the age of 13 on the guitar and other instruments. Then I joined these ansambles:
1989 - 1997 member of traditional czech dance and music ansamble Skoda/Mladina.
1998 spent a few months in St. Bartholomew choir in pilsen cathedral.
1999 - nowadays member of czech/british band Poitín playing trad and contemporary celtic music on the bouzouki, whistles and banjo.
2001 played the mandolin on music/theatre grup Vodotrysk.
2004 - 2006 played the viola on soft underground band Bratrovokolecko (Brother's Circle) own music.
2005 prepared an electronic/acoustic/psychedelic performance with dance group NoTa called Tornades of a Pulsating Sound. Played the viola and electric guitar.
2005 - 2007 found member of celtic fusion ansamble Ciúnas Nua in Prague on the bouzouki.
2008 - currently in progress with plenty of musicians on a balkan/celtic CD in outline plan called Uci me, majko , lead by René Starhon.
