Lordian Guard

About Me

Lordian Guard was the band formed by ex- Warlord guitarist Bill Tsamis and in some senses Lordian Guard picked up right where vintage Warlord left off. Much of the song structures and classiness from Warlord were prevalent - on the other hand, keyboards were much more prominent and the guitars were toned down (more acoustic than in the past), and so Lordian Guard wasn't nearly as heavy as Warlord was. Some songs from the debut album might remind one of the more mainstream Warlord songs such as "Lost And Lonely Days". Vocalist Vidonne's alto vocals were interesting, and the lyrics were Christian, though not oppressively so. Though this isn't heavy by traditional metal standards, it is quite interesting, and especially recommended to Warlord fans. The second album, "Sinners ...", is arguably the better of the two. A third album was planned, titled "The Holy Empire" but the band split up before it was released. The track "Invaders" from The Holy Empire was released on a Hellion records compilation, titled "Warzone XIV: Epic Metal Storm". Discography : 1995 - Lordian Guard (Full-length), 1996 - Behold a pale horse (Single), 1997 - Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God (Full-length)
