The Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF) has announced an exciting new charity challenge for 2008 – Trek Jordan, which includes a visit to Petra, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.
Trek Jordan is a 5-day walking adventure which takes place 12 – 19th April 2008. Trekkers will have the chance to ‘float’ in the Dead Sea, meet Bedouin families and follow the ancient caravan routes before reaching the City of Petra, which is without doubt Jordan’s most valuable treasure. Camping out under desert stars will add to the experience and the challenge!
By taking part in Trek Jordan, you can raise valuable money needed to continue the work of UCF. As a local charity, UCF are committed to tackling cancer by supporting cancer research, providing services for cancer patients and their families and by educating people on how they can reduce their risk of the disease here in Northern Ireland.
If you would like to achieve an amazing challenge, have energy and enthusiasm, are medically fit and aged between 18 and 65, then this is the trek for you. A £300 registration fee secures your place on the trek and each walker must raise a minimum sponsorship target of £2,000, but don’t worry, UCF fundraising staff are available to support you every step of the way.
For more information or to order a registration pack, which explains everything you need to know about the challenge ahead, please contact Leonne Wheatley at UCF, Tel. 028 9066 3281 or contact us through MySpace!
