About Me

When presented with different opportunites, I choose the one that will make the better story when I am sitting around at the senior center later in life. My path in the past has brought me much happiness and variety: I have seen a night launch of the space shuttle; I was in Holland the day when Europe switched over to the Euro; I swam in glacial runoff in the fjords of Norway; I have studied towards becoming a history professor, an HR Professional, a massage therapist, a physical trainer, and a competitive ballroom dancer (and I have even finished some of the programs!); and I am still amazed by little every day joys -- flying a kite, playing on a swing set, walking through grass barefoot, jumping in leaf piles, splashing in fountains.

My Interests

Ballroom dancing, indie films, new bands, hiking, reading, exploring San Diego, travel.

I'd like to meet:

I am trying to fill my life with people who see the cup half full, not Polyannas, but definitely those who would rather focus on the rainbow than the doom and gloom.

Nate Mott, Sam Jaffe, Bird York, David Dundero, All American Rejects, Stephen Poltz, The Pretenders, The Proclaimers

Movies:

An Inconvenient Truth, Love Actually, Monsoon Wedding, Princess Bride, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Team America

Taking the Cat for a Drag

What a pain in the back!

Back in March I hurt my back doing in an over-enthusiastic attempt at doing an arebesque in ballet class.  I've been in pretty much constant pain ever since, but I was working through it so my da...
