I'm a mild-mannered (hahaha... not really) college student, and could be described as having THREE goals in life:
1. To become an author!
2. To have fun!
3. To stick it to The Man!
I've been described as "at least partially insane", though I prefer to think of it as I have a very active sense of humor and a biting wit that likes to pop up at the most inconvenient times. Writing is my life, and I hope to be a published author one day, or a columnist with the notoreity and skill of Irma Bombeck (sort of a female Dave Barry). Pirates are better than ninjas, and I would like to be one. I also love to read, and my favorites (listed below) are highly recommended. I have a terrible weakness to fluff/warm and fuzzy feelings/cuuuuute romance-- it kills me and makes me cry.
I'm a hopeless geek, hopelessly addicted to video games, anime, and sci-fi/fantasy books and movies.

My Interests

Writing, reading, drawing, fencing, anime and all cartoons, video games, the Colorado Avalanche, sci-fi, fantasy, and food. I do love food. I've never met a dessert I didn't like.

I'd like to meet:

What if I don't want to use this space for people I want to meet? WHAT THEN, MYSPACE? Huh. Well, feel free to drop me a line if you know me/vaguely know me/want to get to know me. I'm on the computer nearly constantly, and I'll happily chat with you on AIM once I figure out who you are and why you're messaging me. :D

Music:

I'm a terrible old hippie and can frequently be heard griping about the state of things in music today. The Beatles, Queen, Sonata Arctica, Barenaked Ladies, Nightwish, The Darkness, Collective Soul, Keith Urban, Cheap Trick, Rush, Electric Light Orchestra, Led Zeppelin, Styx, B'z, Tommy James and the Shondells (STOP LAUGHING!) and a lot of other bands that broke up before I was born. I hate rap.

Movies:

Young Frankenstein, anything else by Mel Brooks, Monty Python, Wayne's World, Disney movies, werewolf movies, Big Fish, Moulin Rouge, Count of Monte Christo, Underworld, Van Helsing, the HG2G movie, Dodgeball, Kung Pow, various other... things.

Television:

Besides anime, I can be found watching nearly any cartoon. I love cartoons. My current favorite is Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends ("Cheese, I've gotta go home." "AWWUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH."), and I remain a die-hard supporter of Freakazoid, Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern Life, Sheep in the Big City, and a lot of other shows that aren't on anymore. Live-action wise, my absolute favorite shows are Arrested Development and Firefly (curse you, Fox! Curse you forever!), but I also like Whose Line is it Anyway.

Books:

"Good Omens" by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman (Best... book... ever), Discworld series by Pratchett, Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams, "Howl's Moving Castle" by Dianne Wynne Jones

Heroes:

Madeline Khan, Irma Bombeck, Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Mel Brooks, Wolverine and Spiderman.

So here's the deal.

I already have an LJ that I sporadically update, so this is going to be pretty barren. I've decided to make this blog my "HUMOROUS RANT" blog. It'll pretty much be exactly like talking to me. :D...
