A late starter in music, it wasn't until David Power was 16 that he picked up his mother's worn Carmencita guitar and found it the perfect accompaniment for his voice and the tool with which to unlock his songwriting skills.
Spending much of the following years traveling with his guitar at his side, Power developed a highly original flavour of playing and crafted a variety of original songs.
After moving to Brisbane in 1999, Power slowly became involved in the local music scene and through a relationship with Rise and Shine Studios, his self-titled debut EP was produced.
Power is now a regular acoustic performer at many of Brisbane's night spots and his confidence and stage presence is gaining strength and recognition by the day.
