Tommy Browning Drums/PercussionTommy, originally from Montgomery, Alabama, started playing drums at the age of twelve then professionally at age fourteen. With a formal music education Tommy studied rudimental drumming, classical percussion (symphony orchestra), and Latin percussion. After college he pursued music full time playing with rock, country and show bands throughout the U.S. and Canada. Later he did several tours with Bertie Higgins (Key Largo) traveling to Tokyo and Nagoshima, Japan. Tommy also recorded for Christopher Cross and played on a Billboard Magazine “recommended hitâ€. He has played with Motown acts The Coasters and the Drifters. Tommy has played many diverse venues. Among those are: The Sahara Club in Lake Tahoe, Nevada; SuperBowl XXIII in Miami; West Palm Beach’s “Sunfest†(broadcast on VH1); The Shotgun Red Festival on TNN; cruise ships in Cozumel and Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. After playing with “The Dixie Flyer Bandâ€, in Tampa, Florida for several years, Tommy spent a year with Carnival Cruise Lines in the Bahamas. Tommy now resides in Dothan, Alabama and currently playing with “The Michael James Bandâ€.
