Drawing from influences such as Post-Rock, Classical, Jazz, Folk, Doom, Death, Black, and Progressive Metal - Nevetherym are not a band to create one-dimensional music.
Beginning in 2005 with song-writer Rob Hamilton, the seeds of their distinctive sound were sown with the piece 'Hourglass.' Shortly after, Andrew Craig joined the ranks supplying the backbone to this ever evolving group. After multiple line-up changes the band grew from a three-piece instrumental outfit to a vastly dynamic ensemble with the addition of Miriam Jones on violin and Rob's sparse vocals. They are intent on developing honest songs that strike a chord in the heart and mind of the listener, regardless of preconceptions or genre. Nevetherym aim for the soul, not a demographic.
Releasing their debut EP 'Rendezvous' in 2007 followed by a seven date tour of Australia's east coast in 2008, they have built a reputation for their transfixing live performances. Plus a handful of admirable supports under their belts (such as Akercocke, The Berzerker, LORD [ex-Dungeon], Mortal Sin, Transcending Mortality, and The Amenta) the future is looking exceptionally promising for Nevetherym.
