About Me

.. Bio I'm a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Peterborough, ON. I've been writing music for 20 years. I have four recordings 1991-Doghouse, 1993-Dry as a Desert, 2000-Incubator, and 2005-Mutiny. The first two were mainly acoustic guitar and vocals, while Incubator and Mutiny had more sonic support from a motley bunch of players that I've met along the way. I played a whole bunch of shows in Vancouver between 1999 and 2003 with Neal Ryan on lead guitar, plus drumming by Sean Lavoy, Jerry Benniger (bass) for a short time until Steve Vickery took over. This four piece was known as RAY. My tunes, backed by RAY in fine form, drew comparisons ranging from The Cult to David Sylvian, and developed a small but devoted Vancouver following. With the band pursuing different creative tangents, RAY stopped after a final show at the Silvertone September 26, 2003. Over the next couple years, I played a number of duo gigs with Steve Vickery providing backup on guitar, and pieced together the final RAY recordings culled from a handful of sessions. 7 of the songs would later become my most recent release, Mutiny. Mutiny was released July 13, 2005 in Vancouver to a full house at the Anza Club.I'm now living in Kitchener. After a couple years of relative inactivity, I've been welcomed under the wing of Fauxtown Records. I look forward to playing a whole heap of shows with this colourful gang of artists and their ambitious, yet kind-hearted label.Soon to lay down some vocals for Fauxtown Records artist Dave Fox's upcoming cd, showcasing Dave's songs as sung by local musicians.Look for "He-man Woman Hater's Club" on Heyday Records Compilation, Music for the Open Road, and "Cafe Dogs" on Heyday Records Compiliation, Music for the Minority, available through www.heyday.com take care...
