Komatose Void

Biography:
Another side-projekt of Riki Rezinunts . Komatose Void is pretty much dedicated to the more struktured noise creations of Riki Rezinunts with the added input of Jerry Feightner . A falling hammer of head smashing beats and distorted and eerie melodies wrapped up in crunchy auraul background layers of ambience and sound-fx. If forced to compare, some would say that the styling is in the veins of akts such as Punch Inc. , Terrorfakt , Asche , EC8OR , ATR , Somatic Responses , Converter , Aural Blasphemy , Endymion , Bomb 20 , and other similiar power-noise, darkcore, dhr, and drillnbass experiments.
Komatose Void was concieved at the beginning of the new year of 2004 by Riki Rezinunts & Jerry Feightner in order to make something beat driven and much harder than what they've normally experimented with. Something to let loose, get drunk and smash stuff too. Stress relieving music for bashing it apart, tearing it up, and burning it down. By early 2005 the demo for Komatose Voids first release, 'Kontinuum' was completed and only remained a demo due to the fact that they still lacked vocals for the majority of the tracks on the release. Fortunately in mid 2005 fate led their paths to cross with that of a gorgeous girl with an extremely large amount of vocal ability and a taste for things harsh, dark and brooding. Needless to say, we found our vocalist for this projekt and as a result of that we are shooting for a release date in mid-late 2005 for the first Komatose Void release, 'Kontinuum'.
News:
04.20.05 - Happy 4:20 everyone! Woohoo! We found our female screamer/singer! She is a great girl with a lot of talent that goes by the name Jeanette. We are hoping to have all her vocals recorded and have the artwork done in time to officialy release the first album by late 2005. In the meantime we will be attending the Mindless Self Indulgence & Assemblage 23 show at the Masquerade in Tampa on the 22nd (Friday) of April as well as the Pigface show on the 23rd (Saturday) which is also being held at the Masquerade to hand out free promotional Komatose Void demo CD's and flyers. Be sure to head out to these shows as they will be KILLER performances and don't forget to get your Komatose Void CD & Flyer!
03.15.05 - Hey guys! It's been awhile since the last update but thats only because we've been very busy working on our new material, getting our press kit finished, and dealing with our 9-5 jobs. We have a couple new songs ('Designed To Destroy', 'Insekt') that pretty much caps off the running time for the album. Only a few more obstacles are in our way. We still need to find a 'riot grrl' to scream on our tracks. If it doesn't happen soon Jerry and I will have to make due with our own vocal abbilities and do the screaming ourselves. After that point we just need to get the track order just right and put Jamason Finn to work on the graphics for the release. In the meantime we hope to get a small demo/press kit ready to send to a select few. Another thing keeping us busy is work on new Extropy Nervosa material. We've got a slew of new tracks for that project which is just awesome because it's been on the back-burner for some time now. Keep your eyes open for a play-list update sometime tonight!.
08.16.04 - As of yesterday Meat Market Industries joined up with Gemm.com to make the worlds largest music catalog even larger. So far only the GNP releases have been put up on our Gemm catalog but we are working on getting all the MMI releases up there soon enough. The MMI website on Gemm is pretty sweet and I urge you all to check it out as their are plenty of cool things to discover. The Komatose Void album is almost finished and as soon as it is you will see it up on our Gemm catalog.
08.14.04 - Well, we just survived a weak ass hurricane yesterday. Well weak for us and what we were expecting. Heard that other parts of FL got hit pretty bad. I hope all you guys out there are ok and safe! A few brand new tracks for ya guys to check out. Really went into a speed-metal/powernoise/dhr kinda thing we these couple new ones. Themed around the speed-metal which you'll be able to tell immediately upon hearing the guitars. Enjoy!
