The Intent to Distribute

About Me

Every summer hundreds upon thousands of people meet deep inside the Rocky Mountains of Colorado to work and play on what has been called the most commercially rafted river in the world. There a unique lifestyle is enjoyed by many who have shunned the prospects of ordinary work in order to risk life and limb on a daily basis to provide the multitude of Americans with true adventure found on the Arkansas River. Out of this chaos of adrenalin junkies has emerged a hip hop trio that has become the voice of the many insane river guides that are living life on the edge every day before partying hard into the night. Intent to Distribute fuels this madness every week to packed theaters of hundreds of rafters with their unique blend of hardcore speed rap set against a furious rhythm influenced by the Colorado underground dance scene. Their debut album “Demoed” is filled with songs containing complex harmonies that make an immediate impression on the listener along with thought provoking content that ensures the longevity of the music. The first single off the album “Dark in Here” is a whirlwind of explicit lyrics that reflect the bands turbulent past along with a crescendo into an undeniably intoxicating chorus. The live performances of the band are truly explosive spectacles that deliver the complexities of the album in a live setting. Whether playing 1000 high on top of the Royal Gorge or rocking out in the middle of downtown Denver, Intent to Distribute brings an intensity matched only by the very same class 5 rapids that inspire their music.
