My Name is Rich Gilliland and I have been playing bass since I was 10 years old. It started in an after school program in orchestra, stand-up bass changed my life!!! I started playing in hopes of one day playing music with my father, who is a consumate singer/song writter and my hero. I cut my teeth in a church with much better musician who kicked my butt and showed me the ropes. At age 17, fresh out of high school I toured with a pop group called Raze for two years. I later went to college to play football and also Stand-up bass for the school. I played a show with Darrell Evans and did lots of growing as a musician and also as a man before my latest job. In 2005 I got the opportunity to tour with KJ-52, through my friend Jamie Davis. It has been 2 and 1/2 years and I have played many shows and also recorded on KJ's last two cd's: "Remixed" and "The Yearbook" I look forward to the journey of being a musician and growing as a player.
