Lead and Back up Vocalist/ Electric and Acoustic Guitarist
Started playing Guitar at age 10 and has been playing continuously for 38+ years.
At age 18, Mitch was playing professionally with a group called...."Birth Right"...The leader of that group was none other than "Buddy King" of the nationally acclaimed group "The Magnificent Men".The keyboardist for that group, "Bob Martin", became the Keyboard/ multi instrumentalist for Frank Zappa.
Mitch studied with Joe Scrowe back in his home town in Philadelphia and has maintained a progressive focus on his musical development.
These days you can find him playing as a primary primate with the South Florida based band "Hot Brass Monkey".
(from Magnificant Men to DisFunktional Primates...Not sure what that's all about...)
Mitch teaches privately, as well as a faculty Guitar intructor for Miami Dade Community Colllege. You can also find him right at home in the S.Fla studio session scene where he functions as a top call player.
Mitch has had the opportunity to play with such Nationally acclaimed artists as Chuck Mangione, Michael Brecker, Rick Derringer, Butch Trucks(Alman Bros), Alto Reed (Bob Seager Silver Bulet Band), Ira Sullivan, KC and the Sunshine Band (one of his all time favorites), Nestor Torres, as well as several other great session players.
He's also had the pleasure of either opening or closing for Pat Benatar, Billie Dean, Brooks and Dunn, the Pointer Sisters, Tower of Power, CHicago, America, Starship, Delbert McClinton, The Turtles, The Guess Who, Three Dog Night, Lov'n Spoonfull, Boney James/Rick Braun, Richard Elliot, and Spyro Gyra.
His dedication to his instrument has certainly turned into a gift for all who have the opportunity to hear him play. A truly great guitarist in his own right and a great pleasure for all of those who have the opportunity know and work with him.
