About Me

Dear bands and fans,
It was a pleasure to meet you all during the weekend of 7/8/9 December 2007! We thank you for your kindness and support. Please notice this site won’t be updated until we have news for you. Besides this we will visit the mail and friend request section maybe once in a month only. If you wish to be in contact with the organizers of this great weekend tour and can’t wait a month: get in contact with the manager of Slechtvalk. Hails & and we meet again! The organizers.
SUIDAKRA
The Caledonia era began in September 2005, when long time former band member Marcel Schoenen rejoined the band after a number of years. Marcel, being mainly responsible for the lyrics and clean vocals, brought back much of the folk influence heard on the previous albums that are an integral part of the SuidAkrA sound.
Starting fresh in 2006 with the 'Emprise To Avalon' (2002) and 'Signs for the Fallen' (2003) line-up, SuidAkrA are ready to stake their claim once again in the world of metal with their 8th studio album, 'Caledonia'. While 'Command To Charge' was a new adventure for SuidAkrA, 'Caledonia' once again returns to the roots of an inspired, well-balanced mixture of raw death metal, plenty of harmonies, a mesmerizing pagan / folk atmosphere and bombastic catchy heavy metal. SuidAkrA's ability to blend these various sounds into a hard, fast-paced yet intricate song structure is what really sets them apart from the rest. Their variations prove that melody and brutality can be worked together to provide a unique experience for the listener.
MÃ…NEGARM
The first Månegarm line-up was; Svenne Rosendal - vocals, Jonas Almquist and Mårten Matsson - guitars, Pierre Wilhelmsson - bass and Erik Grawsiö - drums. With the temporary band name, Antikrist, they started to rehearse their very first song "Månljus" in November ´95. A month later the name of the band was changed to Månegarm. In May 1996 the band was ready to record some of their first songs and after three days in Studio Underground a four-track demo was finished. The demo tape was named “Vargaresa”. With this, the story of Månegarm begun, many cd’s followed as well line-up changes. Since the second half of 1999 the line-up of the band seems to be steady: Markus Andé – guitar; Erik Grawsjö – drums & vocals; Jonas Almqvist – gutar; Pierre V Wilhelmsson – bas. Later on guest violin player Jan Liljekvist completed Månegarm.
2006 & 2007 can be seen as the most important years so far in Månegarm’s history with a lot of important and memorable moments. After a great two week European tour in 2006 together with Skyforger and Goddess of Desire and after the release of “Urminnes Hävd-the forest sessions”, Månegarm ends their collaboration with Displeased Records and enters a new era. From now on Månegarm will be signed on to the Swedish metal label Black Lodge and probably this collaboration will contribute in making Månegarm an even better and more popular Viking metal band. In October 2006 they entered the recording studio again to record ‘Vargstenen’. This album is their sixth studio album and received very good reviews worldwide!
SKYFORGER
Skyforger have been tempering their music in the smithy of the Thundergod since 1995. For the last decade, the band has been fighting under the flag of Latvian Pagan Metal; an extreme blend of traditional Baltic Folk music and various Metal influences ranging from Norwegian inspired Black Metal through to 80s-rooted Heavy Metal. The band's unique combination of ancient and modern influence has given them a wide appeal throughout both the Metal and Folk scenes, and has brought great variety to their song writing over the course of the five Skyforger albums.
In between album recordings, Skyforger has been also busy on stage, playing as many concerts as they can. Behind the belt of band are already four European tours; many mini-tours and festival appearances and Skyforger is well known for their non-compromise live performances. Currently Skyforger is forging songs for the next album and of course they will not forget about live activities on foreign stages.
SLECHTVALK
They are loved, they are hated! When we take the reviews from all over the world serious, Slechtvalk is one of the most promising Dutch dark/black metal bands of the moment. Named after the fast and bloodthirsty bird of prey, the band knows how to give a recognizable sound to their music. Slechtvalk combines the bombastic parts of Dimmu Borgir with the venomish parts of Dark Funeral, but has also the catchy parts of the old After Forever. For both friend and enemy this seems to be a convincing strong mix!
The year 2005 became the big break-through for Slechtvalk. With the release of their third full-length album ‘At The Dawn Of War’, their first DVD ‘Upon The Fields of Battle’ and the successful single ‘Thunder Of War’. The video-clip for this single was shown on MTV and many new doors opened up for Slechtvalk. Currently Slechtvalk is working on new songs and only playing limited in clubs. You can love them, you can hate them: Slechtvalk will continue the haunt for your dark soul…
