About Me

How's it going, I'm in india travelling about, and will be for the next few weeks, so, leave me a message!
This hasn't been updated since last year (cos I can't be arsed), but have a read if you fancy it.......
Right, I've just moved to Bournemouth after getting in on the Interactive Media Fda course (leading to the Graphic Design BA Honours degree). I'm living in brand new, lush, modern halls, which I love and all the people here are wicked, parties all the time. My flat mates are relly nice and they look after me when I am drunk, but only when they aren't drunk (i.e when playing strip poker, where after the lads lost (girls cheated) ended up running from block A to block B naked, and then came running back with a security guard chasing them). Although I've made lots of new friends I haven't forgotten the friends that got me here. To be honest I'd be screwed without some of them.
Things I did this summer:
Went to Newquay, Cornwall. Had an amazing time, awsome weather for england, don't think we saw a cloud all the time we were there. Brilliant place, full of cool peolpe, great beaches and great bars, so much fun.
Went to Glastonbury festival! That was amazing, saw some great acts and experienced the glasto vibe, shame its not on next year. Bummer.
Me and two of my best mates went round Europe for a month and had the most amazing time! During our travels we went to 12 different countries, these were, (in order of travel):
France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Vatican City (it counts!), Greece (+ some Greek Islans), Bulgaria, Romaina, Hungary, Austria, and Germany.
Some countries we went to twice, this was without a doubt the best thing I have ever done and the best month of my life, and I recommend it to anyone. Every country was so different and the culture's so far apart, even just over the border, really is amazing. I took loads of amazing photos, which at some point will make it on to my portfolio site in a photography section, just depends on the time I get. Europe was so good that I could actually talk about it and all the stories for days, but I won't, as I don't want to bore you and we all have lives to get on with.
You can see loads of our pics from our travels here.....

Next up was Reading festival, an amazing festival which I honestly thought was better than Glasto this year. A massive line-up filled with all the bands I love, and I even came home loving some more. For the line-up look on the Rading Festival website, im sure it's still on there.
Then I worked a lot as I didnt have any money, especially as the Reading tickets had actually sold out so I ended up paying nearly 200 quid for one. ouch.
My 19th! I didnt have anything planned, then my friends took me into town and then walked me into a resturaunt and had actually booked us in for a surprise meal, and it was really nice as it was the last time we were all together before we all left for uni.
Things I do for fun:
Eating food, listening to music (again, I'd be screwed without it), exercise (when I can be arsed), designing websites (work, a hobby and a passion ) drinking, going out, taking photos, reading, watching films, playing tidly winks (thats a joke, although im sure it can be quite fun). (I also like putting things in brackets (as you can tell from this bracketed passage)).
I spose I should mention that as a Graphic Designer I have my own company (Visual Design Studios) and I have made loads of websites under that name, and that pays for the car! Don't think there is much left to say... (except if you need a website, do get in touch)
Oh yeah, take a look at... www.visualdesignstudios.com to see my portfolio (which will be finished soon - I promise)
and www.visualdesignstudios.com/recent_gallery / to see some recent pics, more soon. Sorted.

Music:

AKA my life, (I am a music junkie), right here goes, I expect I’ll forget quite a few............
Air, AAF, Amon Tobin, Andy C, Aphex Twin, Aqualung, Artful Dodger, Ash, Athlete, Audioslave, The Avalanches, Badly Drawn Boy, Basement Jaxx, Beck, Ben Harper, Bjork, BRMC, Blink 182, Blur, Boards Of Canada, Boxcar Racer, British Sea Power, Bush, The Cardigans, Carl Orff, Cave In, The Chemical Brothers, Clear Vision, COLDPLAY, Coolio, The Coral, Counting Crows, The Cranberries, Crowded House, The Crystal Method, Damien Rice, The Darkness, Dave Matthews Band, David Grey, De La Soul, Deftones, Depeche Mode, DJ Shadow, DJ Yoda, Doves, Dream Theatre, E Z Rollers, Eagle Eye Cherry, Ed Harcourt, Eels, Elbow, Elliott Smith, Embrace, Enya, Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Feeder, Finch, FOO FIGHTERS, Franz Ferdinand, Funeral For a Friend, Goldie Lookin' Chain, Gomez, Grandaddy, Groove Armada, Guns N Roses, Head Automatica, Hell Is For Heroes, The Herbaliser, The Hives, Hoobastank, Hooverphonic, Hundred Reasons, I Monster, Idlewild, INCUBUS, Jack Johnson, Jakatta, James Levelle, Jamie Cullum, Jamilia, Janis Joplin, Jeff Buckley, Jet, Jewel, Jimmy Eat World, JJ72, Joss Stone, Jurassic 5, Kasabian, Keane, The Killers, Kings Of Leon, Korn, Kosheen, LAMB, Lauryn Hill, Leftfield, Lemon Jelly, Lenny Kravitz, The Libertines, Lighthouse Family, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Lostprophets, LTJ Bukem, Macy Gray, Manic Street Preachers, Maroon 5, The Mars Volta, Mary J, MASSIVE ATTACK, Matchbox Twenty, MJ, MOBY, Mogwai, Morcheeba, Mos Def, Mr. Scruff, MUSE, The Music, N.E.R.D, Nirvana, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, The Offspring, P.O.D, Papa Roach, Pearl Jam, Placebo, PORTISHEAD, The Postal Service, Prodigy, Puddle Of Mud, Queens Of The Stone Age, R.E.M, RADIOHEAD, Rage Against The Machine, Razorlight, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Requiem For a Dream, Roots Manuva, Royksopp, Semisonic, Sigur Ros, Snow Patrol, Soundgarden, Squarepusher, Starsailor, Stereophonics, Sting, The Streets, The Strokes, Supergrass, System Of a Down, The Thrills, Tom McRae, Toploader, Tori Amos, Tracy Chapman, Travis, Trust Company, Turin Breaks, U2, The Verve, The Vines, The White Stripes, Zero 7, The Zutons.

Thats about it, there are a few more that I’m probably too embarrassed to write down (i.e. Blondie etc)! Defining my 'taste' in music is impossible, cos I don't have a specific 'taste', I just like good music. Some of the artists above I don't like all their music, just some, if it sounds good (and always better loud) then I like it. Although I am quite into chilled music at the mo, much easier to listen and work to. Also, I've got a feeling that my music has basically doubled since I wrote the list above, but I really can't be arsed to write it all out again, especially in alphabetical order! You get the point.

Movies:

Urm, loads, I like a good classic, like action films, Die Hard! Quality, but I also like a film that gets you thinking, The Matrix is a perfect example. Donnie Darko, Oceans 11, Snatch, Boon Dock Saints, Reservoir Dogs, American Beauty, Animals, Fast and the Furious, Swordfish, Gone in 60 Seconds, ah so many, they aren't even any of the real good ones, I wish I had a better memory. Yeah, that'll do.

Television:

I'm such a busy boy that I don't really have time for tely, what a shame. But you can't beat some Fresh Prince, Simpsons, OC, Smallville, Scrubs, Malcolm In the Middle, Friends, The A-Team, Knight Rider, Futurama, and a bit of Ray Mears Extreme Survival! I'm not a massive fan of reality shite, or soaps, I just like to be able to turn it on after missing about 10 episodes and still be able to enjoy what's on without following it, plus, most soaps are shite anyway.

*EDIT* Now I am at uni I AM SO LOST IN LOST! We have every single episode as it happens in America (which is about a series ahead of the UK). If you haven't seen it yet DONT! IT WILL HAVE YOU FOREVER!

Books:

I wish I had more time to read, what with books being the fountain of all knowledge and all, but that's what the internet's for isn't it?. Best book I've ever read? Probably the Hitch Hikers Guide to The Galaxy, now that's what I'm talking about. However, favourite author: Stephen King, pure genius.

Heroes:

Ray Mears - The guy's a legend, what more can I say?
