Working on establishing some real hobbies other than studying and drinking... since I don't have to study anymore ;) Lately I've been trying to travel as much as possible on a "first year out of college" budget. Getting up and down the state to visit friends, ski, hike, wine taste, go to concerts. I've finally been able to pick up a few books lately too. A perfect day for me would involve coffee, a long walk on the beach, then passing out on the beach, lunch on the beach, a shower, cocktails over looking the beach, a fabulous dinner at with a sunset view, and fabulous sex with a view of the beach or at least a sea breeze and the sound of waves crashing right near by (the last part can happen at any point during this perfect day, as many times as necessary).
The man of my dreams, my future childeren, and my far away relatives.-------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------For my friends in Sac... and anyone else who hasn't seen this in along time... here's all 3 of us!
Michelle is right, no one can like EVERYTHING. But I get pretty close. My CDs were stolen out of my car not very long ago and I'm sure whoever took them thinks I'm a freak. The radio in my room is tuned to classical music at a very low volume almost always. But the rest of the time I'm listening mp3s of some sort.Lately its been Buddah Bar IV, Mariah Carey, J-Lo, Guru, People Under the Stairs, DJ Mark Farina, Norah Jones, Alicia Keys, Fantasia, Ashlee Simpson, Shakira, Moby, Morcheeba, Esthero, Portishead, La India and India Arie, Goapele, Broadway Musicals, Cirque du Soleil music, David Gray, Cibo Matto, Beastie Boys, G. Love, Tori Amos, Nick Drake, Amos Lee, Poe, Christina Aguilera; Pretty much anything Jazzy, breezy, mellow, or good to dance to. Oh, or to sing along to, yes I am that girl next to you on the freeway singing at the top of her lungs.
Another reason for people to think I'm wierd. Not a huge fan of movies, except for really really really good ones. I especially like old ones and choice new ones too. The Apartment, To Kill a Mocking Bird, The Red Shoes, To Sir With Love, Romeo and Juliet, Man On Fire, Moulin Rouge, Cannibal the Musical (I'm not kidding, it is really good, hilarious). BAD SANTA... I think my favorite movie ever!
Hardley ever watch TV, but if I do, I love Sex and the City, the Apprentice, and Americas Next Top Model
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn... my new favorite. I love any Amy Tan book, read them all. Usually anything involving asian culture is interesting to me, I loved Memoirs of a Geisha. The Da Vinci Code, The Client, The Harry Potter series has been quite addicting. Beverly told me to read The Notebook. Huckleberry Fin is my favorite book ever, ever I don't know why, but it is!
