Moon Maan is a Minneapolis-based rock band formed in early 2004.They made their live debut at 2004's South By South West Festival (SXSW) in Austin, TX.Moon Maan finally released their self-titled debut CD in the United States in June, 2007.Members:Rick McCollum .. Guitar, Vocals and ThereminRick was a founding member of the Afghan Whigs, who recorded five highly acclaimed albums for Sub Pop, Elektra, and Columbia Records before disbanding in 2000.Erik Mathison .. Drums and PercussionErik has played with a variety of Minneapolis based independent and major label artists, including Balloon Guy, Polara, Jessy Greene, Mark Mallman, and Jon Rodine.Your Name Here .. BassYour Name Here is Moon Maan's newest member, but he has been laying down the low end on the Minneapolis music scene for quite a while now. Some of his other projects include the Tim Pawlenty Blues Explosion, Butterfly featuring Robyn Robinson, and Tavaris Jackson & the Scene.
