Music is a way of communication between people. Before i started my own production i used to play an album to my friends, saying "listen, this is how i feel now". the next day i played something from completely other genre, saying the same. but one day it came to me, that i can play exactly what i feel with the use of instruments (computer+keyboard in my case).
Making music for me is 90% of listening to music and learning from the bests in various genres, and only 10% of time spent on composing.
The best thing about composing is the development of aural perception. In other words, the more i experiment with sounds, filters and structures, the better i pick out the nuances of pieces of musicians i admire.
