I'm 40, married for 15 yrs, and have 2 gorgeous daughters (Abigail 7 1/2 & Meredith 5). I'm now a part of the system... the private sector is behind me. I am a Community Care Worker with the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. We coordinate care for the elderly and disabled so that they can stay in their own homes rather than be moved to a nursing facility. The pay isn't great, but you almost always get to go home with a warm feeling from having helped someone in need. Other than my family... my life's passion is music. I play saxophone primarily, although I have been known to wrestle with bassoon or low brass. I love things that are old fashioned or outdated. I have played instruments as odd as sarrussophone and sakbut, and enjoy the musically strange. Formerly, I was a motorman with McKinney Avenue Transit (www.mata.org) in Dallas operating antique street cars. In my spare time I teach saxophone and bassoon lessons. I currently perform with the East Texas Jazz Orchestra and the Tyler Community Band.
